Lyon light festival trophy

Our school, along side with the organiser, France 3 (a national French TV media) gave our class of product designer the opportunity to design the trophy for the Lyon Light Festival. We had to create a trophy in groups and France 3 chose their favourite. Ours was chosen and will be built and presented to the inner of the Lyon Light Festival in December 2021.

The request of our partner was for us to imagine a trophy that would represent the city of Lyon and the Light Festival, which is a local tradition of the city that is very famous in France. We had a choice between two materials : PMMA or steel because of the partner ’s collaboration with a manufacturer of steel and PMMA.
